23 Some went down to the sea in ships, doing business on the great waters;
24 they saw the deeds of the LORD, His wondrous works in the deep.
25 For He commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26 They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths; their courage melted away in their evil plight;
27 they reeled and staggered like drunken men and were at their wits’ end.
28 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress.
29 He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and He brought them to their desired haven. 31 Let them thank the LORD for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man!
32 Let them extol Him in the congregation of the people, and praise Him in the assembly of the elders.
-Once, twice and many times we have utilised God’s creation for our own gain; many times have we taken advantage, taken for granted of His abundant resources for our benefit.
– We have used creation and ignored the Creator to our peril.
-As many times things have gone wrong, for one CANNOT enjoy and benefit from the resources and yet forget the SOURCE, forget even the One Who creates and provides.
-BUT because of His great love, for He indeed is A MERCIFUL GOD, when we cry out He hears.
-When trouble overwhelm us , and we turn to Him, He does not forsake us nor does He ever leave us.
– With our God help is always at hand, even when (sometimes) we’re the cause of that trouble!
-Vs 28 “Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress.”
-Give unto the LORD all the praise, offer to our SAVIOUR the due THANKS OFFERING, for He is WORTHY!
PRAYER : LORD forgive me for all my messing up, and indeed my ignorance and IGNORING You my SOURCE.
YOU have blessed me with much, even opportunities to make a living with all You created. This is my proverbial “GARDEN OF EDEN” if only I acknowledge the PROVIDER.
THANK YOU LORD! Amen.
Have a fruitful Thursday.
